New York, January 04, 2012 – Barclays Capital today announced the appointment of Tom Weyl as Senior Municipal Credit Analyst, covering the US municipal bond market. Mr. Weyl will be based in New York and will report to Thomas Walsh, Head of Global High Grade Credit Research.

“Tom brings extensive experience in the municipal bond market to the firm, and his insight will be a valuable resource for our clients around the world, said Mr. Walsh. “We’re pleased to welcome him to Barclays Capital.”

Mr. Weyl joins Barclays Capital from Eaton Vance Management, where he spent 16 years and served as Director of Municipal Research for the past 14 years. Prior to Eaton Vance, Mr. Weyl held positions at General Electric Capital Corp, covering health care financial services, and at Van Kampen Merritt Investment Advisory Corp as a portfolio manager.

Mr. Weyl is a member of the Society of Municipal Analysts.
